Highly sought-after, discontinued gents Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in platinum, Ref# 5970P-001. On a black reptile strap with a platinum deployant buckle. This watch will fit up to a 7.50-inch wrist. Smooth bezel with a sapphire crystal, a sapphire display caseback, and square chronograph pushers. The case diameter is 40 mm. Manually wound movement with chronograph, am/pm indicator, moon phase, perpetual calendar with day, date, month, and leap year. Black dial with applied stick hour markers. With the box, box cloth, booklets, stylus, and papers dated January 2010. Very Good condition.
The 5970 started production in 2005 replacing the smaller diameter 3970. The 5970 reverted to the case style of a square chronograph pushers with a sculpted shoulder more reminiscent of the first series 2499. The 5970 in rose gold and in white gold were discontinued in 2007. In 2008 Patek Philippe released the much anticipated yellow gold 5970 then promptly discontinued the model after only 1 year. With the release of the platinum version in 2009 also being discontinued within a similar time period.
The Patek Philippe 5970 was perhaps the most successful of recent models. With Philippe Stern stepping down as president of the company in 2009, the same year the final, platinum version was launched, the model could be considered as his legacy to the success of Patek Philippe. We ship FedEx for International Shipments and insure through a third party provider.
Certain Shipping destinations are not covered by our Insurance provider, and we cannot ship to those locations. Others have liability limits, and we will advise accordingly if the transaction can proceed.
We will not declare international shipments as repairs, or lower costs to minimize duties and taxes. Our insurance policy stipulates that the insurance value and the customs declaration have to be equal.
Certain transactions will be subject to higher shipping costs for high value packages.
We are unable to change the ship to address once the package is in transit. If a package is returned to us and reshipped to buyer, any shipping costs incurred will be the responsibility of the buyer.
