Notes: The AB0134101G1A1 is the Chronomat B01 42 in stainless steel with a silver dial — the most versatile and classically composed configuration in the current Chronomat lineup. The Chronomat is Breitling's flagship chronograph, originally developed in 1984 in collaboration with the Italian aerobatic display team Frecce Tricolori and distinguished by its signature rider tabs on the rotating bezel — a functional detail that allows the bezel to be operated with gloved hands. The 42mm case represents the most wearable iteration of the Chronomat, bringing the reference's bold aviation sport aesthetic into a format that transitions naturally between cockpit and boardroom. Powered by the in-house Breitling Calibre B01 — a column-wheel manufacture chronograph COSC certified to the most stringent accuracy standards — this is a chronograph of genuine technical substance at a price point that no comparable manufacture movement competitor can approach. The silver dial is the most classically composed configuration in the Chronomat lineup, pairing clean, legible subsidiary dials with the warmth of the metallic silver surface.

Why the Chronomat B01 42 is Breitling's Most Wearable Manufacture Chronograph
The Chronomat is the watch that re-established Breitling as a serious manufacture contender in the chronograph conversation — and the introduction of the in-house Calibre B01 was the moment that argument became impossible to dismiss. A column-wheel automatic chronograph with COSC certification and 70 hours of power reserve, finished to a standard that competes directly with movements costing multiples more, the B01 is the technical foundation that makes the Chronomat a genuine collector's proposition rather than merely a bold sport watch.
The 42mm configuration is the Chronomat at its most versatile — bold enough to carry the reference's aviation heritage with conviction, refined enough to wear in contexts where a larger case would be too much. The silver dial strikes the ideal balance between legibility and elegance, making this one of the most broadly wearable Chronomat configurations currently available. A 2020 complete set example in excellent condition represents a compelling entry point into Breitling's most accomplished manufacture chronograph reference.
