Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Collection Diver "Ushio" Blue Dial Complete Set SLGA023

Ref. SLGA023G The Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Diver “Ushio” is a thoughtful expression of Grand Seiko’s modern sports-watch direction. Presented in high-intensity titanium with a blue Ushio dial and matching bracelet, this Spring Drive diver brings real technical capability into a refined, highly wearable form. The 200 meters of water resistance, ceramic bezel, date display, and five-day Spring Drive movement make it a luxury dive watch built for actual use, not just visual presence. For the collector who values precision, finishing, and daily practicality, this is a compelling addition with clear purpose. The blue tide-inspired dial gives the watch its identity, adding depth and movement while keeping the overall expression focused and balanced. Condition It is offered in good condition as a full set, giving the next owner confidence in both the watch and the completeness of the offering. Functional Value This is a highly capable daily sports watch. The Spring Drive Caliber 9RA5 provides a five-day power reserve, while the date display, ceramic bezel, and 200 meters of water resistance make the SLGA023 useful for travel, active wear, and everyday rotation. Design Significance The Ushio dial is central to this reference. Its blue texture is inspired by the movement of the tide, giving the watch a more expressive visual identity while staying true to Grand Seiko’s restrained design philosophy. Versatility in Wear The high-intensity titanium case and bracelet make this piece more comfortable than its presence might suggest. The blue dial adds character, while the overall design remains versatile enough for casual wear, travel, and refined daily use. Strategic Role in a Collection This is a strong choice for the collector who wants a serious Grand Seiko sports watch with more capability than a traditional daily piece. It can serve as the practical diver in a collection, the Spring Drive anchor, or the refined alternative to more conventional luxury sports watches.
